How to Always Get Free Shipping on Amazon.com
Comments
Note: This only applies in the U.S.
One thing that is great about Amazon.com is that they provide free shipping (Free Super Saver Shipping) on orders $25 and more within the States. But not all the time you will hit exactly $25 or more.
Let’s Do Some Math
OK. Let’s just say you are buying a book that qualifies for free shipping that cost $24. You are now $1 short of $25. Now, if you want to get free shipping, you will need to add something that is useful to you to make it $25. But how often you see any product that is useful to you and cost around $1?
The Tools
So, here are two little tools that are ultimately useful for the case above – SlickFillers and Amazon Filter Item Finder. These tools help you easily find items that qualify for free shipping and sorted them out nicely. You can enter any appropriate amount and the rest is magic.
I personally prefer SlickFillers because it provides better item finder which allows you to specify the categories and keywords of your search. However there is one thing Amazon Filter Item Finder is better than SlickFillers – the price accuracy of the filtered items. In my testing; for the same $1 search, Amazon Filter Item Finder provides a good list of $1.0X items whereas SlickFillers could only find items of $1.50 and more.
Anyway, you can always use both to find the cheapest possible item that is useful to fill up the gap.
