Google Wave Notifier for Windows

Comments

Are you riding he wave? If you are a regular Google Wave user, using Windows 7 and browsers other than Firefox, there is a little app for you – Google Wave Notifier for Windows.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not a Firefox plugin. Google Wave Notifier is a native Windows app, a wave notifier app that sits on the system tray and will notify you if there are new waves coming in.

A Promising Wave Notifier

Google Wave Notifier logs into your Google Wave account and checks the Inbox for unread messages. You will be notified with a Windows balloon notification when there are unread messages.

The good thing is it works regardless of what browser you use.

Features:

  • Automatically checks for unread messages every 15 minutes
  • Left-click forces a check
  • Double-click opens Google Wave in your default browser
  • Automatic notification of updates upon startup

Google Wave Notifier was developed by Danny Tuppeny and I am very glad that Danny granted me access to test out the first beta version. Current it is in v0.4 and more exciting features are yet to come.

Google Wave Notifier is now available to the public for download. Grab it here.
